Break The Silence, United Against Domestic Abuse
This year, we're uniting to educate, inspire, and raise awareness within the beauty community about domestic abuse. Together, we can empower individuals, foster understanding, and be a voice for change. By coming together, we can make a lasting difference.
Elite Beauty Society’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month acknowledgment
We are raising awareness about a crucial issue that beauty and barber professionals may encounter more often than they realize: 1 in 4 women and 1 in 7 men will experience intimate partner violence over their lifetime.
With statistics like these in mind, we aim to use this upcoming month to provide you with tools, education, and resources that will help you recognize signs of domestic abuse and learn how to best support to your clients in-need.
- Who we're doing this for: Beauty and barber pros are in a unique position to build trust with their clients. As an industry pro, you're often also a friend and confidant to your clients, can be one of the first people to notice if/when something might be wrong.
- Why it matters: By equipping beauty and barber professionals with the right knowledge, protocols, and communication tools, we can help them take action to help impact someone's life both safely and compassionately.
- What your impact can do: Acknowledging domestic violence is not an easy nor simple task — but you can use your unique position to make a deeply meaningful difference in someone’s life.
What's On The Schedule
