The Beauty Pro Last-Minute Holiday Inspo Guide

The holidays aren't just upon us–they're here!

And listen, if you've been far too busy working on holiday marketing, keeping up with clients, decking the halls, and rocking around the Christmas tree (like we have), you probably haven't spent a ton of time beefing up your Christmas Inspo guide

You know what that means, right? Without a little guidance, you might come up blank on what to suggest to your clients for their last-minute holiday parties, family gatherings, and Christmas celebrations.

But don't freak! We've got your back (like we always will). We've put our beauty-lovin' brains together and curated a must-try, can't-miss, last-minute inspo guide to share with your beauty clients this Christmas!

Top Hair & Makeup Trends to Try on Your Clients this Holiday Season

Glitter Eyes & Metallic Finishes

It's beginning to look a lot like…the perfect excuse to add metallic and glitter to your client's makeup looks. What do we love about glittering makeup looks? They're perfect for everyone–from the clients who want to steal the show immediately to the ones who want a subtle stun.

Even if your clients want something understated, a little brush of glimmer can brighten everything right up. Bold pops of glittery gold or shiny silver can make any look scintillating.

Sugar Plum Lips

We're trying to channel that whole visions of sugarplum thing–but with your lips. The perfect shade of plum is a must for show-stopping lippies this Christmas.

Make sure you work with your client's unique skin tone to differentiate between warm and cooler purples–there's a right shade out there for everyone.

Add a little shimmer and glimmer to really amp up the look!

Wine Eyes

This Christmas, let your clients know it's A-OK to channel their fave cabernet with a dusky, maroon, wine-colored eye look. We love the sultry little nod to a Christmas color palette, and they'll love how easy it is to make this look happen on their own (with plenty of guidance from you, of course).

Holiday-Worthy Lashes

Falsies for Christmas? Yes, please! Sure, there are times to be subtle, but the holidays aren't one of them. Encourage your clients who wanna go for a little glam to take their lashes to the next level. Whether that means hooking them up with the perfect falsie look before their holiday shenanigans or directing them to your fave faux lashes, they can apply themselves,

Tinsel, Please

The tinsel trend is already in. Why wouldn't you advise your clients to rock some hair tinsel for the holiday season? It's shimmery, bright, and festive–all the things your clients are likely looking for in their hairstyles this holiday season.

Whether you opt for clip-ins, they can buy from you, go for slip-knot extensions, or bind with extension glue; there are plenty of semi-permanent options you can employ to ensure your clients' tinsel looks last the season.

Need color palette advice? Don't be afraid to stick to classic color schemes. Gold is a great lil pop of something special for blondes, and brunettes and redheads will look stunning with a splash of silver.

Christmas Crowns

Think wreaths–but hairstylist chic. If your clients really want to make a statement at their holiday events this year, designing a Christmas crown accessory they can seamlessly place in their hair could be the ultimate look.

Need a little inspo to get you going? Channel that flower crown trend of yesteryear–then run with it. You can go with real flora and fauna for an authentic look; just make sure all your plant life has been properly cleaned and vetted. On the flip side, faux plants can look just as realistic and beautiful.

Half-Up Holidays

Need a timeless and romantic holiday look for your clients? Pair big barrel waves with an amazing half-up look. This go-to is iconic for a reason–it's detailed enough to draw the eye but seamless enough to style without a ton of experience. (Something your clients will, no doubt, love).

Want to spice it up a touch? Textured ribbons–in addition to the half-up look–make for a romantic, soft, and stylish little look they'll be dying to rock at all times (not just around the Christmas tree).

Classic Chignon Bun

Nothing says iconic look like a classic chignon bun. For your clients who want a showstopping look without going overboard, we highly recommend a slick and sweet chignon.

The trick to this look is having the right smoothing serum, so make sure you've got a go-to that you can offer your client when you set them up with their chignon.

What we love most about this look is that it's understated but in a fabulous and glam way. If you've got a client who wants to make a statement with their makeup, outfit, or jewelry, a chignon could be the subtle, sophisticated look they need to complement the rest of their style.

Want to add a little pop to catch everyone's eyes? Throw in some well-placed, beautiful braids to give that classic look a little textured twist.

We're willing to bet you're ready to wow your clients with these last-minute looks. The best part? None of this feels (or looks!) last minute. So, happy holidays, beauty pros–you've got plenty of inspo to get you through the rest of the year.
