One of our core values at EBS is to maintain competitive pricing without sacrificing coverage for our members. While other insurance companies nickel-and-dime their policyholders out of every possible dollar, we want our members to have the best coverage without breaking the bank.
As a beauty liability insurance provider, we recognize our responsibility to provide our members with affordable insurance coverage. We offer multiple plans to help our members experience complete satisfaction with their coverage while choosing a plan that fits their budget and keeps their wallets happy.
Every insurance plan we offer provides the same outstanding coverage, incredible member benefits, top-tier customer support, and is tailored to fit your budget and career stage.
Here’s what esthetician liability insurance costs with EBS:
A single year of coverage for full-time estheticians starts at $179 per year.
Purchasing a two-year plan saves $30 per year and starts at just $299 for 24 months of coverage.
Up-and-coming beauty professionals have a special place in our hearts and receive a discounted rate while in school. For one year of coverage, beauty students pay just $49.
Both full-time plans offer the option to pay at regular intervals over 12 months or in a single payment. Whichever option works best for your budget, we are here to help make your esthetician liability insurance affordable and accessible.
What the Other Guys Charge
As you shop for liability insurance, researching is essential to finding the best value for your money and receiving the coverage you need to protect yourself. The last thing you want is to pay too much for two little protection.
Now that we've covered what your liability insurance will cost with Elite Beauty Society, let's talk about what other insurance companies charge and the coverage they provide.
Of course, you could waste hours of your precious time scouring each and every one of these websites to find this information, but who likes to waste all that time? Fortunately, we've done the legwork for you so you can save time and get back to doing what you love.
Here's what other insurance companies offer and, more importantly, what it will cost you:
Associated Hair/Skin Professionals
Associated Hair/Skin Professionals offers plans starting at $199 per year. AHSP provides professional and general, and product liability coverage included in their policy. However, AHSP does not include personal and advertising injury coverage, identity theft protection, or access to a number of benefits that are standard from Elite Beauty Society.
Another negative side is there's no option to pay monthly for your premium, meaning AHSP policyholders are required to pay everything upfront. This rigidity could be difficult for many beauty professionals, especially those beginning their careers.
Alternative Balance
Alternative Balance plans start at $249 per year and have many pros and cons. Alternative Balance insurance provides professional, general, and product liability and portable coverage in all 50 states. However, Alternative Balance insurance has several techniques excluded from their plan, meaning it may be more difficult or costly to insure niche beauty techniques.
Another downside of Alternative Balance insurance is they do not provide a current form of coverage as we do. This means as soon as your policy expires with Alternative Balance, any claim filed after the policy's expiration is not eligible for coverage.
Conversely, Elite Beauty Society offers occurrence form coverage, meaning you're eligible for coverage for any incident within the policy term, even if the claim is filed after the policy's termination.
Alternative Balance coverage could leave estheticians vulnerable if a claim is filed past the life of their policy. It is definitely something to consider when looking at Insurance costs for estheticians.
NEXT Beauty Insurance
Next Beauty Insurance provides their policyholders professional, general, and product liability insurance. A one-year plan with Next Beauty Insurance requires a quote for exact pricing, but the average cost is $200 annually.
Where next indeed differs from Elite Beauty Society is in the minimal coverage they include without extra fees. Identity theft protection, portable coverage, personal & advertising injury protection, and many others are not included in the basic insurance plan from Next.
Additionally, several benefits, like a free professional website, are excluded from their policy.
When you consider the average cost of Next Beauty Insurance plan can be on the higher end, the coverage you receive may not be worth it.
Hands-On Trade Association
Hands-On Irade Association offers insurance plans for beauty professionals starting at $169 per year, the same price as Elite Beauty Society’s one-year professional plan. The similarities essentially end there, however. HOTA does not offer monthly payment options; instead, it requires its members to pay everything all at once.
However, the most significant way HOTA differs from Elite Beauty Society is they do not include member benefits with their insurance plan. The benefits can make or break an insurance policy in today's competitive liability insurance market. Furthermore, HOTA does not offer access to health, dental, or vision plans like ours. This valuable access could be a pivotal deciding factor for many beauty workers.
Beauty & Bodywork Insurance
With plans starting at $96 per year, Beauty & Bodywork Insurance offers the cheapest rates on our list. However, what you save on your premium you may lack coverage and benefits. Although it may be the cheapest option on the list, B&BI does not provide monthly payment options or any member benefits.
Another aspect to consider is that Beauty & Bodywork Insurance does not provide access to affordable health, vision, or dental insurance plans. Access to healthcare insurance plans is critical to our member benefits package. The way we see it, our members should have everything they need to thrive in their careers, including access to healthcare options.
