Put Yourself (And Your Self Care) First

It’s no secret that everything is a little scary and chaotic right now. And if you’re struggling with how to handle the day-to-day of our pandemic-stricken world, maybe it’s time to stop focusing on what you can do to further your career and start focusing on what you should do to take care of yourself.

We’re not saying that you should give up on your beauty career—not even a little bit—but we do think that above all, you should put yourself, your health, and your mental well-being first—and sometimes that means throwing a little self-care your way.

When we say self-care, we obviously mean some of the good stuff—bubble baths, doing your nails, putting a face mask on, and drinking a glass of red wine. But we encourage you to go beyond just the self-soothing techniques and put in a little extra work to make sure you’re taking care of yourself.

Check out our article here about how you can find a little peace in the pandemic and how you can focus on your mental health during the COVID-19 outbreak.

Remember, cosmetology school is important—but with the state of the world, it doesn’t have to be the end all be all right this second. Put yourself and your health first.
